Where to buy 28D bras

So apparently I am a 28D... this doesn't appear to exist in any shop! I have bought a few bras online but it's so hit and miss and a massive pain. Does anyone know of anywhere to get this size bra, not too expensive? Thanks

Ooo that's pretty. I might try in a 30C

Only £9 on Amazon in nude

Lepel Fiore Plunge Bra 93280, Nude, https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B003SX08KS/ref=cmswwrcppapi_HKsuAb4FQS8R9

This is the one I'm wearing now in a 30C although I measure as 28D (and used to wear 32B).

Have a look at the Boux Avenue Tatiana. I have this in a 28D and it works for me.

TheChineseChicken · 10/01/2018 18:45

Having ordered a selection of bras I have discovered the problem. On a 28 back the cups are too close together whereas my boobs are quite far apart - so I can't get them to fit.

Try 30C instead?

TooMinty · 10/01/2018 21:39

Plus I think you are supposed to somehow lean forward and scoop your boobs into the cups. But I can't say I've mastered it!

TheChineseChicken · 10/01/2018 22:07

I do scoop them - then they gradually drift back! The bra world was not designed with me in mind

@bananafish81, what size S or M? would a 28D correspond to in Uniqlo please? They sound like the solution to my teen's situation. Sorry for the hijack OP.

PetiteMarseillaise · 10/01/2018 22:22

Oh and I fully empathise with the spread out / wide boob situation @TheChineseChicken, mine are also much to the sides rather than out front Sad

Such great bras

bananafish81 · 10/01/2018 22:43

@PetiteMarseillaise I wear an XS though I'm sure it's still too big on the band, it's insanely comfortable

I don't think small boobs need much support and a bra can't stop sagging, so I'm quite blasé about wearing bras - it's really only about a clean line under clothes, so the uniqlo ones are fab because they're totally seamless and I don't notice I'm wearing them at all

The down side is they've spoiled me and I really notice when I'm wearing a normal underwired bra now!

PetiteMarseillaise · 10/01/2018 22:53

Thanks @bananafish81, we're due a trip to London soon and will definately check out Uniqlo. Teen DD is very keen on comfort and wants to move away from sports bras (the ones she wears cut into her shoulders somewhat as she's quite long in the body and the straps are not adjustable).

TheChineseChicken · 11/01/2018 18:29

themymble yes but £95 for a bra Shock

I need some help.
I’ve ordered 8 bras from Boux avenue for my dd.
She is measuring 28” 33” so we ordered 28dd and 30d
Only 1 fits her. She won’t let me look when she tries them on so I can really see what’s wrong with them.
She says the 28 bands are too tight.
She won’t let a fitter look at her because of her anxiety issues. ( not even the GP was allowed to listen to her chest at the front)

I don’t know where else to get them from. I can’t spend ££ because she is 14 and still growing.
Thanks.

TheChineseChicken · 12/01/2018 06:41

Ihate could you try the bra tops from Uniqlo that Banana and Petite are talking about?

OP posts:
ihatethecold · 12/01/2018 07:00

My DH works very close to uniqlo on Oxford Street.
Any idea which size I would need.
She does prefer a bra that has a thick cover/slight padding rather than a bralette or balconette style.

ihatethecold · 12/01/2018 07:06

The size chart is confusing.

Bolshybookworm · 12/01/2018 07:09

Gossard bras come up small on the back and are very flattering if you’re on the petite side. It’s worth trying their 30C/D.

TheChineseChicken · 12/01/2018 15:59

Banana said the xs for a 28 back

TheChineseChicken · 12/01/2018 16:00

Thanks Bolshy, I'll take a look. I've booked my long suffering mother in for a day of bra shopping, which I'm sure she's thrilled about!
