Stylish ski wear?

I need some new ski stuff for this season, anyone got any recommendations for brands/websites/shops where I can get something that does the job but still looks half decent? Went into trespass today and it was all a bit depressing - just plain black or bright pink in the ladies gear.

Not sure what your budget is but this is nice.

I always rate Roxy, but only the non garish stuff. Topshop have started doing ski wear but think it might be a bit style over substance!

SueSueDonahue · 05/01/2018 18:19

Where do you ski?

I tend to buy stuff when I am there now as the stylish range is more extensive!

We're going to les arcs this year - but never been there before, in fact haven't been anywhere for about 8 years as this is our first trip with the DC!

Will have a look at those mentioned, thanks! The style over substance thing is my concern, I want something that looks good but will still do the job. Just seems like all the stuff I've seen so far has been quite 'mumsy' for want of a better word!

@NewYearNiki just looked at the sweaty Betty site, love it, especially the method jacket! Bit more than I was hoping to spend but definitely the direction I was aiming for. And it is my birthday next week.... Smile

Are Topshop doing skiwear this year? Decathlon and Snow and Rock might be worth a look too

NewYearNiki · 05/01/2018 18:54

Ooh see if you can something as a birthday gift for the trip!

Snow+Rock have a good selection of brands. I don't know what your budget is but if you're happy to spend at least a few hundred on a coat then Spyder, Arc'teryx, Kjus, Salomon and Eider all do really nice and highly functional gear.

LIZS · 05/01/2018 19:12

Tk maxx occasionally have Spyder, Degree 7, Killy etc

LockedOutOfMN · 05/01/2018 21:40

I like Moncler, but it's pricy. It lasts forever, though, and it is so comfortable.

problembottom · 05/01/2018 21:48

I agree that Snow and Rock are great. My white North Face ski jacket, black North Face ski pants, Salomon goggles and boots and my red Spyder under jacket for layering (which is a thing of beauty) are all from there. Apart from the Spyder all were bargainous sale purchases - ski jacket £150, trousers £75, boots £225...

Thanks all, I'm off to do some googling!

Hmm. Don’t let style override some practicality too. Got some gorgeous things via Sports Pursuit this season, and invest in good merino wool thermals. Poivre Blanca and Canada goose lovely.
