I’m needing some new trainers. Just for day to day use as I have been fitted properly for trainers for running. What’s good these days? Are Nike air popular? What about new balance? It just doesn’t seem to be a case of going to a shop and picking up a pair of white gutties anymore 😀. Thanks.

I love my Nike Tanjun and 2 colleagues have just bought some. They go with everything.

I find Asics best for running. They will do gait analysis in store to help you find the right pair (other brands and department stories will also do this).

I've been mostly wearing black suede vans, but really want these

I wear trainers pretty much exclusively (creative job, so can wear them to work - yay!). At the moment I swap between Adidas Stans, Superstars, and various Nike Airs. My newest pair are these (Nike Structure), which are actually proper running shoes, but they're mega-comfy, and I loved the colours (plus got them half price thanks to my work health insurance. They're on sale at the moment from Sweatshop):
