Jaeger Silk Dress

What do you think of this dress?I’ve had my eye on it all season, thinking it might do for a summer wedding at a London Town hall and then for work ( summer bare legs and winter with tights and ankle boots? )

I’m 47,v dark brown hair , 5ft 4 size 10 athletic build. I’d say I’m a winter jewel which this isn’t and that’s making me hesitate a bit. But I’m a sucker for animal prints!

Opinions welcome as you are my go to style advisers and are always right ! 😀

That's a very lovely dress and it sounds like it'd suit you ( except I don't know what the winter jewel bit is - HoC type thing??)

Strong colours like dark blue, red and emerald green plus black grey and white suit me. I’ve not had my colours done professionally but I can see what suits me, I look awful in beige, coffee pale pink etc .

OP I am also a self-diagnosed winter and the dress I consistently get compliments on is an old leopard-print nylon one I bought in a charity shop for a tenner about 20 yrs ago. Not sure why it suits, sometimes if there's enough black and/or white in it that's all you need.

In my defence, I’ve not bought much for a while as i’ve loads of clothes , so apart from the Coach bag 😝 and this dress, I’m only holding out for a few items in the Baukjen sale which I’m hoping might be further reduced.

Don’t suppose any of you know when Baukjen make their final reductions?

Really appreciate the opinions on the dress and welcome more if anyone has a thought either way.

It's gorgeous! I'm a deep winter but would definitely wear it with red lipstick.

What I meant was that leopard may really work on you despite some warm tones.

Reluctantly I think no! It's the colour - if you a winter jewel then it's not going to set you off as much as another dress might... keep looking?

I think order it to try on then be very honest. I would not wear that as a winter and it would do me no favours. Jaeger do have some items in a red navy animal print, I just bought the scarf, but the dress is nothing like as nice a style as your one.
