Female sideburns help!

Help!!

I've just put my hair up for the first time in a long time, and remembered why I hate it so much.

The hair that grows in front of the ears can't/won't stay tucked behind. I feel other ladies have less noticeable hair here or are able to keep it away.

How can I sort it out Blush

You could go to a salon and have it waxed.

LemonadeWithACherry · 04/01/2018 19:46

Some women gel it into curls, like FKA Twigs? Smile

I don't think either option would suit me unfortunately 😫 the regrowth would look awful and I definitely couldn't pull off that style!

I'm currently growing out a buzzcut and today I noticed a sideburn issue so I decided to work it into my style, similar to this picture (hope it shows up), would that work with your style?

Thanks @MissTeri

It wouldn't work for me at the moment as my hair goes down to the middle of my back. I am thinking of going shorter though so that I could have a more manageable down style.

Oooh ask me ask me, they were the bane of my life.

So there's two options I found to work and you can do both.

One is get one of those cheap lady shavers from a pound shop / ebay. Lift up your side burn and just remove the very lower layer, this looks way more natural and believable hen trying to shave off entire sideburns BlushI've tried it all.

Next find the cheapest clear Mascara you can. Tie your hair in a pony tail then sweep the hair back with the mascara. I've tried loads of brands and be nice brands leave a crusty white residue as it dries. Cheap market stuff doesn't.

I've found hair gel looks obvious, it's mascara all the way

@Rainbowmother thank you so much!

I don't suppose you could post a photo of how yours look so I can see what I'm aiming for with the lady shaver? Blush

Ha yes can do. Have let them grow out as just don't care as hair is never tied up anymore. I've relaxed on it as I've got older but it used to be a huge issue with me.

Will dig out the little razor thing. Got mine ok ebay for £2.25 I think?! Under electric lady shaved eyebrow trimmer. it's pink but loads of sellers flog the same one.

It's also worth watching YouTube for tinkle razors. Again I wouldn't shave off entire sideburn, just the underneath

BrollyDolly · 04/01/2018 22:29

Thanks @Rainbowmother I appreciate that a lot Thanks

I lasered mine off.

Claudiawinksatmen · 07/01/2018 18:34

I pluck mine out with tweezers, takes about 5 mins once a month. Will admit It made my eyes water at first a bit like plucking your eye brows for the first time. Tried waxing but got weird shiny bald patches and epilator tends to want to grab hair I want to keep.

Rainbowmother · 10/01/2018 11:32

How much was laser for that area herecomesthesun?

Did you need lots of sessions ?

herecomesthsun · 10/01/2018 12:16

I had sessions around 1997 and a top up (using groupon) 2 years ago. (about 6 for the top up))

I would think a home laser might be an idea for bob facial areas.

Thank you so much for this tip, mine have mildly annoyed me for years and I tried this today and felt so much neater!

Big thumbs up for this thread! Mine stick out like wings and never grow long enough to really sit behind my ears!
