Any opinions on quality and sizing?

After finding Stylememos blog on the Cos thread, I noticed she wore quite a bit of Me+Em. Meant to be on a no-spend 2018, but have changed tack already and decided will but quality investment classic pieces instead of fast-fashion. Just looking through their website and like the look of it, but pricey and want to be sure it’s worth the moolah.

I buy quite a few pieces from Me and Em throughout the year and their quality is great. Sizing is pretty generous. Their layering shirts and tops are particularly good. They are expensive but I usually stock up in the sale.

Quality is variable I like their Jersey tops. I have bought blouses in the sale which were poor quality and impossible to iron.

I was also looking through the Cos wearing bloggers yesterday and ended up on Me+Em and particularly liked the layering blouses. I have a slight concern about jersey tops as I always seem to suffer from the little holes which appear in the front of t shirts, even expensive ones. I'd be a bit nonplussed if I spent over £100 on one which got holes in. But they do seem such a good idea to wear under a jumper or jacket.

I wish they would use machine washable fabrics for their trousers!

I love me & em but have had 2 kinds of issues:

  1. Little holes in jersey shirts above the cuff seam where it goes up the arm ( 2 shirts same issue BUT I machine wash them so maybe that’s why)
  2. Zips in trousers - one zip jeeps falling down, the other won’t do up

However their knitwear is faultless and their tailoring is beautifully cut.

On balance, if I found cheaper shirts I would go for them...

I have little holes in my layering shirt - the jersey part.

Hmmm sounds as if their jersey is best avoided. Such a shame as I love the style.

My biggest bugbear is that they take 2 weeks to process a refund after receiving your returns, really no excuse for it to take that long when other companies manage it within a few days.

I’m always lurking on their sales for their boxy cardigans which they do really well. I can’t afford full price but a great investment in the sales when they have them.

I have a ponte dress and ponte trousers from them, which are well cut but the fabric had not worn that well.
