Civil service band O here, (we don't have EO's anymore). I'd say that jacket is fine.

It is actually EO strategy officer post in Public Health England.

I’m a civil servant and work for DH (with PHE colleagues) - yes, totally fine. Now concentrate on your competency examples!

That's lovely (I'm a Civil Service Grade 7 and would totally wear that to an interview).
