Comfortable but smart shoes?

Any help greatly relieved!
New job will involve a lot of running around but also need to be smart (hospitality/managerial). I've had footgloves from m&s before that were so comfy but hideous to look at- any recommendations on a good mix of the two? I generally wear black pencil skirt or black dresses.

I find Clarks ballet pump styles or brogues/loafers are comfy to wear all day and just the right side of frumpy for me not to feel too awful in them.
