Hi, can anyone recommend some Zumba trainers please ? I used to do Zumba in ordinary trainers but was getting knee pain. I have read about split sole trainers being better for Zumba can anyone recommend any?

I used to do Zumba in normal trainers and got exactly the same - pain in my knee which went down to my shin.

A friend who is a dance teacher recommended proper split sole dance trainers and I got some which are by Bloch. I've had mine a few years now, but I just looked on the Bloch website and these are very similar uk.blochworld.com/product/S0598L

They have proved much better for Zumba I have to say.

You don't need soft soled. You want proper dance trainers like the Bloch. They are designed to let you swivel for charleston steps etc much better. Stops you wrenching your knees.

Thank you I'll get some of the blochs and give them a go. Minesapinot did you knee pain stop when you got the blochs?

Yes it did for me.

I also agree with Wolfie that proper dance trainers allow you to swivel and turn better. I really noticed the difference the first time I wore them.

I went to an actual dance shop to try them on. Felt a right idiot! But they are great.

Wolfie I did the same! I went to the Bloch shop in Covent Garden where they also sell ballet shoes. A young girl was trying on some pointe shoes and just rose up elegantly onto her toes.....the next Dame Darcey Bussell I think! Glad you like them though, they made all the difference for me.
