Gel nail varnish at home?

I like nail varnish, but can't afford Gelish/salon nails.

Is there anything I can do at home that's similar? Normal varnish doesn't last on me past a day or two.

I like the Avon gel polishes and use their gel topcoat too. Only use on my toenails in the summer but lasts a few weeks each time. On offers are sometimes only about £3 each! I use normal remover to take off.

I use the Sensationail lamp with either opi colorgel polish or blue sky polish. What made an incredible difference was the blue sky base and non-wipe top coat (amazon). The Sensationail polishes, base, top coat, polish to gel were all rubbish compared to bluesky. I got 3-5 days from Sensationail and now I get 2 weeks with bluesky.

Oh and Rimmel gel was a total waste of money. Please don’t waste your cash on it. Horrendous stuff. Goes gloopy, doesn’t soread easily, takes ages to dry, minimal difference in longevity

@Maraki which blue sky base and top coat do you use?

I've probably missed the relevant post but can you convert regular polishes (of which I have tonnes)? If so how?

Oh I’m a big fan of the Rimmel gel polishes. I find they last for ages.

I paint mine before I go to bed so I have all night for it to dry and that seems to do the trick!
