Long or posh frock

I need a long or posh frock for an evening "thing" in February. Coast and Phase Eight have been my go to shops. Its a little main steam though and there is the distinct possibility of duplicates at an event. The price is about my budget though. Can anyone suggest any alternates? Thanks

Also main stream but Hobbs is worth a look.

If you need something really original, have you thought about vintage? If you know your measurements and style and type in "1940s long gown" or similar, you can find gorgeous things in about that price range.

I have bought some exquisite dresses on there for formal events, which are quite unlike what everyone else is wearing and received some nice compliments.

Frock and Frill have some great things in their sale. I've always found them decent quality.

Have a look at tkmaxx. I get most of my posh frocks there, but it is a bit hit and miss. Monsoon might be worth a look in the sales.

Could try the OUTNET or Net-A-Porter sale is on at the moment
