Hair colouring for between salon treatments -any recommendations?

I have about 3 weeks til my next salon treatment, but I need a short term fix to look soignee until then. At the moment, gray roots and colour, a mid-brown -to-chestnut - is very faded. Can anyone recommend a brand/type that would tide me over? I am thinking more a tint, rather than a dye (no peroxide or bleaching chemicals) as 1.I am a complete novice with dyes and 2. My next salon treatment will probably do that.
Thanks for any advice!

In a very similar boat. My usually lovely home hairdresser has had a personal crisis and is awol poor love. Not sure if / when she's back, so I'm looking for a fix for now.

I used the L'Oréal professionelle app to look at a few colours on my skin tone and have ordered a semi permanent custom made colour from esalon. They have very good reviews and offer advice based on hair colouring history / % grey etc.

I'll let you know how it turns out.

I’ve found this non- permanent hair dye tints my grey roots and makes my hair glossy and presentable between hairdressers appointments: Nice'n Easy Colour Enhancer Hair Dye Medium Brown 765. It’s only usually £3 and easy to apply. There are different shades too.
Interesting L’Oréal link above though... off to google!

Thanks for the tips. I went to look for the Nice & Easy but they only had permanent colour. I ended up buying John Frieda foam in warm light brown, got brave & slapped it on, not too messy & colour is pretty good, tho hair looks a bit cotton candyish but I can condition it.
Success!
