Body shop hemp

Cakescakescakes · 01/01/2018 11:14

I like the Kiehls Ultimate Strength Hand Salve. It smells slightly medicinal but I love the smell.

Only1scoop · 01/01/2018 11:15

I like the Oliver Bonas ones

Thehairthebod · 01/01/2018 11:15

Body shop hemp is amazing but it smells kind of gross.

bltblt · 01/01/2018 11:30

Thanks ladies. I’ve always bought and sporadically used the clarins one but it’s a bit pricey. I’ll give your suggestions a go!

I used to use the Body Shop hemp one but have discovered Locitane Shea butter Dry hand cream. It's brilliant especially if your fingers go all dry & cracked like mine do. Smells much nicer too without being too heavily perfumed.

I've used the Clarins one in the past too when I had one as part of a present set but Locitane wins.

@bltbl

Recently bought this one GarnierHandRepair(Amazon). Really pleased with it.

carrie74 · 01/01/2018 11:56

My hands have always been quite dry, and having tried prefer much everything at different price levels, the only one that consistently works is L'Occitane Shea Butter hand cream. Don't needs loads, very thick and rich and lasts a long time.

BusterGonad · 01/01/2018 11:57

I like the Neal's Yard Bee Lovely but mainly for the smell (honey and the most gorgeous orange smell) and moisturizing ability I'm not sure about anti wrinkle abilities though.

RestingGrinchFace · 01/01/2018 11:58

The L'occitane ones that come in the little tubes are the best!

meep87 · 01/01/2018 11:59

Roger & Gallet - gorgeous scent & sinks in so quickly. I've also just started using the Neutrogena one with SPF 25 - not a fan of the texture but it's the only one I've found with SPF in so that is my attempt to anti-age my hands!

amysaurus87 · 01/01/2018 12:01

I'm a big fan of Crabtree and Evelyn, the hand remedy is amazing, really rich and you only need a little bit of it at a time. My favourite is the lemon one...it smells devine!

Loccitane intensive hand balm, the one in the white tube. It’s fab as it’s really rich but absorbs quickly without making your hands sticky or greasy

Mytholmroyd · 01/01/2018 12:22

Agree with posters who said L'Occitane ones in metal tubes - they are lovely and smell divine. Or I use Aveeno as a general day to day use if I cant afford/run out of posh present

If you're particular about smells and looking for unscented then Neutrogena Norwegian Formula is good. Very moisturising but soaks in quickly. Also cheap.

travailtotravel · 01/01/2018 13:14

Loccitaine here. Hard to climb back from the Clarins habit so I ask for it for birthday etc. Nivea q10 also good.

chloechloe · 01/01/2018 13:54

Another thumbs up for L'Occitane in the metal tube!

MustBeThin · 01/01/2018 14:03

Try changing your hand wash of you use antibacterial ones. I've been suffering with dry hands for months and no hand creams helped. I switched my hand wash to Dr Bronner and 2 days later my hands were lovely and soft. Haven't been dry since.

FuckyNellYaBastad · 01/01/2018 14:06

Yy to loccitaine but also try Lidl cien intensive - it’s excellent for seriously dry hands and I use it under my marigolds when I’m washing up

MrsAlbie · 01/01/2018 15:20

Another vote for Neutrogena Norwegian Formula. I had really dry hands a month ago, despite daily moisturising with other creams. Two days of using this and my hands were amazingly soft. It sinks in nicely too and you can get it in unscented.

Rainbowglow · 01/01/2018 15:23

Anything with Shea Butter is great. I love L'Occitane and Oliver Bonas. Hand Chemistry is also good. I also recommend using a derma roller on hands and a once a week glycolic acid treatment.

Tobebythesea · 01/01/2018 18:28

Body Shop Hemp but it does smell weird. I only use it last thing at night.

goose1964 · 01/01/2018 21:50

I did a handcream trial once and for a treatment type I found that the boots one , can't remember the name but it's the one from their aging skin range.I put it on before bed and let it do its stuff from, it was too heavy for day. For day I like Norwegian formula that's best for daytime.I do love the smell of L'occitane but it's no better but way pricier
