Pregnancy shoes

I am 13 wks pregnant and my feet already hurt. I’m totally fine eschewing heels but I am going to need a) some flats for work that are really comfy (I guess with some support) but as non frumpy as possible and b) some extremely comfortable walking shoes since I’m trying to put in a couple of miles a day. Normal sneakers are not cutting it. Any suggestions of styles and brands? Thank you!

Your feet may grow when you're pregnant. They will probably return to your original size with time.

I have some Timberland shoes, a bit like converse but leather, they have a huge insole which is really spongy so they're like walking on air

Vionics are so comfy. Like slippers for work.

A 1 inch heel is the recommended height when pregnant, but maybe not the most comfortable.

Our bodies are designed for walking batefoot, I find it difficult to believe a 1"heel is ever better than flats. OP, most websites allow you to search for flat shoes. Clarks brogues get a lot of love, I also like Dune brogues and you can get some bargains in the sale. Excellent for when you have a lot of walking. I've just bought some pointy flats from lkbennett which are great when you need to look a bit smarter.

CountFosco I was just passing on the advice I was given by the doctors and nurses both times I was pregnant. article [[http://www.theportlandhospital.com/blog/heels-vs-flats-in-pregnancy/]] explains the rationale a bit better than I could.

However, as I wrote before, the OP is best just to find what's most comfortable for her at each stage of her pregnancy.
