Indulgent bubble bath?

moobeana · 30/12/2017 19:44

I have been given some money for some treats for myself and I love a bath in the evening.
I would love some recommendations for lovely bubble baths. Preferably moisturising or relaxing, but NOT bath oils, I hate how greasy they are.

Help me ladies!

Badedas?

ArbitraryName · 30/12/2017 19:49

We use the body shop argan oil bubble bath (it’s definutely bubble bath, not oily at all. It’s nice (and makes your skin softer).

Neals Yard Aromatic Foaming bath is really really lovely. Also Lush do some gorgeous bubble bars - you crumble some off the end of the bar under running water and get loads of really nice fragrant bubbles. Enjoy!

Laura Mercier Smile

Katkin14 · 30/12/2017 19:55

L'occitane lavender bubble bath is gorgeous.

Tour · 30/12/2017 19:55

Laura mercier here too

jocktamsonsbairn · 30/12/2017 20:06

L'occitane - the almond range is gorgeous and they used to do a lovely skin softener you put on beforehand but I can't find it any more!

Arran Aromatics - I love after the rain

White company ones are gorgeous and even the bottle looks and feels nice.

Got a set of 3 Champneys aromatherapy ones in the boots sale so looking forward to testing them out!

Second L’occitane lavender bubble bath. I got some for Christmas- smells gorgeous. It won a beauty bible award some time ago, if I remember correctly

luckylavender · 30/12/2017 22:00

Molton Brown - stays on your skin forever

moobeana · 30/12/2017 22:21

Oh these all sound lovely!

My friend who is normally the font of knowledge for my luxury bits keeps saying penhaligon bath oil. Which isn’t me at all.

I will look these up and try and get some in the sales or sample sizes.

Does the laura mercier have only one or are their options people recommend?

Jo Malone - get the bath and shower not oils. Or lush bath bombs. Also neals yard essential oils.

therealreason · 30/12/2017 22:27

This one is lovely and lasts for absolutely ages:

The Ambre Vanille scent is very popular too Smile

hmmwhatatodo · 30/12/2017 22:56

Hello. I’ve had penhaligons bubble bath and I was disappointed (really like some of their perfumes). L’occitane lavender bath foam does have a good strong smell but I’ve always wondered about the Laura mercier ones too!

retirednow · 30/12/2017 23:02

Anything from Floris

JackieMac77 · 30/12/2017 23:08

Unfortunately my budget doesn't stretch to any of the above brands, and nether apparently do the budgets of the few family and friends who buy presents for me! My go-to naice bubble bath is Fenjal - not the slippery oil, but the foamy one.

Ifyouseeapolarbear · 30/12/2017 23:11

I'm loving bath salts recently instead of bubbles for a relaxing bath- I've got mine from Tk maxx/ Sainsburys.

dirtyprettything · 30/12/2017 23:13

Di Paloma from John Lewis

OhYouBadBadKitten · 30/12/2017 23:16

I was going to post the same question.

I do like the dead sea salts Boots do with rose and I think frankincense. I also like l'occitane lavender bath bubbles stuff. Also lush sakura bath bombs. But I'd like to buy something different that smells really nice. Baths are my big treat.

Holly102 · 30/12/2017 23:21

I really like all the Neom ones, especially tranquility. I use these most of the time as they really are relaxing. (The matching candles are fab too!!!)

However if you are feeling truly decadent, I use amouage for when I want to spoil myself.

GrowThroughWhatYouGoThrough · 30/12/2017 23:33

I love badedas

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 30/12/2017 23:39

Yes to badedas, bloody lovely, makes the whole house smell gorgeous.

Arealhumanbeing · 31/12/2017 06:59

Elemis milk bath. Or anything from Suzanne Kaufman (oil but foamy not slippery).

Both very expensive but worth it. Mine are a yearly treat bought in January.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 31/12/2017 08:04

Origins Ginger Float

Espa one - possibly jasmine and bergamot? It's the only one they do anyway and it's lush.

Cowshed Gorgeous cow - I love the smell of Palmarosa and it's not in many things.

Soaper Douper ( big Tescos have it) The Ginger is lovely as is the green tuberose

CointreauVersial · 01/01/2018 00:57

I have a gorgeous Laura Mercier Fig & Honey bath that I picked up in a charity shop for £3. Grin Clearly someone's unwanted Christmas gift. It's lush, comes in a jar with a honey-dipper to swish in the water, proper luxury.
