I need a smart/posh carrier type bag

I'm not into bags. I use a satchel which I love but I need another bag for occassionally carrying stuff to work like shoes, lunch and general random stuff which doesn't fit into my satchel. I'll still use my satchel as well. At the moment I'm using one of those fabric reusuable carrier bags. I think I'd probably prefer a bag with handles or handles and shoulder strap.
Budget about £50 but obviously less would be better.

The small LLBean tote will do all of what you want.

Thank you. Just googled and it is the right sort of shape I think but nit really to make taste. Thank you for the suggestion though.

Have a look at the longchamp tote series uk.longchamp.com/pliage/nylon-0

Ideally when you are in Europe, rather than the UK.

I came on to say last longchamp too. I wear a small walking rucksack as a handbag usually, but am aware sometimes I need to be smarter! This was a present a few years back and it fits the bill for me! Folds up too which is mega helpful.

chloechloe · 29/12/2017 21:06

I was going to suggest a Longchamp too, they're genial. Weigh nothing and can be chucked in the washing machine!

AManWalksIntoABarOuch · 29/12/2017 21:54

Shall take a look at Longchamp then. Thanks.

Thanks for the Longchamp suggesrions but the small is too small and the others are out of my budget.

I like the fact ot folds up neatly though.

Try EBay for a second hand one? They're so durable and easy to clean that second hand ones may still look good as new.

How about a Cath Kidston shopper?

Large Harrods shopper?

Footle · 30/12/2017 07:46

chloechloe, "génial" est un faux ami! On dit plutôt "brilliant".

chloechloe · 30/12/2017 10:07

Merci beaucoup footle, j'ai appris quelque chose de nouveau! (I pride myself on my command of the English language but today I stand corrected Blush Smile!)

BlackSailsInTheSunset · 30/12/2017 10:30

These Oasis ones are brill- they do in quite a few different colours and textures. Is a shopper with a small cross body bag inside that you take out when you want to use the main bag for your shopping.

Try Cath Kidston
If you don’t like florals there are plenty of other designs

DameDoom · 30/12/2017 10:57

100% agree with a Longchamp. If the cost is an issue, think about price per use. Mine is ancient, not particularly stylish but in no way offensive and a brilliant bag for lugging stuff.
They will probably have a sale on now so you could pick up a colour that is less popular perhaps for a fraction of the price.
I'd spend a little more for something that will last and do the job.

Footle · 30/12/2017 19:55

Y'a pas de quoi , chloechloe. Votre connaissance d'anglais paraît beaucoup mieux que la mienne du français.
