Radley in lovely bag shocker!!!

I’m a bit of a bag snob (no benches here) and have rather a lot....
I’ve always subscribed to the idea that Radley are insufferably naff BUT I’ve picked up a Bonnington Square in the John Lewis sale and it’s honestly lovely, great quality, no dangling dog and the perfect size.

I may go back....

Think they’ve really improved! I got my sister a gorgeous one - I previously wouldn’t have considered buying one !

I never really got the hatred. The quality is good and the price is reasonable. Design wise, I think they are no better or worse than lots of brands which don't take a kicking on here. The little dog, which lots of people dislike is removeable.

I'm after a new bag and I'm finding the same... I have an unreasonable dislike for Radley and that stupid bloody Scotty dog but some of the designs are fab. Very frustrating!

I bought MIL an absolutely lovely one. Can't find it to link to now but I'd use it myself. I was shocked - DH was also shocked when we saw me browsing their website!

Was £119 in the sale. My cheapest bag that I use often, not occasional clutches is around £900 so gives you an idea of my bag snobbery.

I have the small cross body one you linked to (NOT the sparkly dog, just for clarity!) and I really like it. It a bit Tardis-like. I particularly like it when I'm shopping, keeps my valuables close and my hands free for browsing without a heavy bag hanging from my shoulder and constantly dropping off. Your bag is lovely, OP. Never really got the radley hate, lots of uglier bags out there.

A friend has that dog bag, she's also a fan of the collage bags. She's lovely, but her style sender is not.

I've never got the general hate either. I think some look naff but others are fine.

Personally I think the naff ones are mainly the ones with branding all over them which is my opinion of most things really.

I bought this last January sales in Orange. It's a beautiful bag and I love it.

I'm a fan of Mulberry bags but I simply can't afford the prices anymore but I've been really pleased with my lovely orange radley bag.

Rain, my one has a leather dangly thing which you can remove. No trace of fucking Scotty dog anywhere..

I can't get past the gold branded writing - on any bag, the dog is naff and therefore I see Radley as naff...still. I owned a Radley bag nearly 30 years ago - beautiful it was, with no exterior branding, included a leather and mesh make up bag - which I still use.

I have an old understated but still in super condition radley bag that I use for my summer handbag. Can not remember how many years I have had it.
