Help before I take it back to boots!

Mine will peel if I don't follow the steps below:
Push back cuticles, start in the middle of the nail bed to push it all back
Lightly buff the nails to remove all shine
Rinse hands or use an alcohol wipe to remove the dust
Use a primer to dehydrate the nail and make sure you don't let the nail come into contact with skin as this will transfer oil backs onto it
Thin base coat (helps the colour stick better and protects the nail from staining)
Several coats of colour
Top coat and double cure the top coat (the lamps you get are not nomally as strong as salon ones so I find a double cure really helps).

If you want a lasting gel, use bond, foundation, two coats and top coat. With UV lamp. I do my own at home and they always last at least 2 weeks, no peel. And I'm very heavy handed....

Ah it's the express kit...that's prob why. It's only peeling form the the top of the nail and yes I did seal the tips of the nails. I will se rondo can take it back and exchange. Thanks x

I had this problem with the express gels, I have started using a base coat with it and that makes them last a lot longer. Before that they were just pinging off.

I will try the washing up liquid tip too.

If I'm being lazy and don't base coat mine peels without fail within a few days, I also find putting the gel too close to cuticles/skin makes it peel too - you need to leave and ever do slight gap (like half a millimetre or so) but then make sure your top coat goes over the colour and into the gap, but still not touching skin or cuticles

I've been using the regular sensationail for years but my lamp had an issue so they sent me the express kit so am going to try it today. I know it's more difficult to get right but worth a try for me since it was free.
