Does anybody in their late 30s still buy from New Look?

OP posts:

Yes, it’s great for staples. Cheap and cheerful! I also really like their leggings.

TheLuminaries · 29/12/2017 08:39

I am in my 50s & buy bits and pieces at New Look. It is particularly good for wide fit shoes.

Haha, I'm in my 50s and still get nice things from New Look now and again! Mostly skirts.

Me!

I bloody love New Look. I think they're a real unsung hero of the high street. Such great variety, trend-led but with lots of unusual/quirky pieces, stuff is better made than most fast fashion, sales are fab and their site is a pleasure to use. Free in store collection over £20 as well.

Wide fit shoes which is a lifesaver.

Bags/jewellery are fab and their makeup range has some great items (the stick highlighter is 😍 but don't buy their nail polishes - crap).

Their underwear is also great and, unlike so many high street shops, they do proper sizes! (32E).

Disclaimer: I do not work for New Look, just really love the place 😁.

Reallytired17 · 29/12/2017 08:58

Just as an FYI, they do treat their staff well too, or used to at any rate. My friend used to work for them and said they were a lovely company and gave 50% discount, so if you like to support that it’s also a good place to shop.

Maudlinmaud · 29/12/2017 09:02

Sometimes. I've just bought two pairs of ugg type boots to wear indoors only
Last year in the Christmas sales I bought some really bargainous coats. New look is OK for any age.

lovemylover · 29/12/2017 10:21

Just bought some nice wide fit boots from there in the sale, couldn't find any wide anywhere else
I do find the clothes are not a true fit though, bought a dress, size 10, my size,it was more like a size 8, couldn't even get into it, a changed it for a 12,still too tight
All my clothes are a 10,
I usually buy trousers from M&S because they do short lengths, but their 10s are too big around waist and hips
Also a top, from new look, had to take that back too, too tight
I am in my 70s by the way

thedevilinablackdress · 29/12/2017 11:16

I'm early 40s and never shopped there, DM is 70+ and does. So really, shop wherever you fancy!

CointreauVersial · 29/12/2017 12:30

Another 50+ fan of their wide fit shoes here.

I often find nice tops in there too.

The only thing I don't rate are their teen clothes - too pricy and terrible quality.

Arronsmissus · 29/12/2017 17:12

Im heading towards 45 and shop there.
