I'm hardly wearing any make-up today

...and it's a revelation. Powder, black eyeliner (top only, very close to the lashes), mascara (top only) and plummy coloured lipstick. Normally I don't mind not wearing any make-up at all, but if I do wear some, it involves blending two or three fairly neutral shades of eyeshadow and faffing around with blusher. But I honestly don't think I look any less made up like this.

What's your hierarchy of make-up - what items are the most indispensable for you, which ones can you go without?

I wore no makeup at all today (and most of this week), but most days I do:

Primer
Foundation
Blush
Setting powder
Nude eyeshadow
Eyeliner dotted between lashes
Mascara
Highlighter
Brow powder then clear mascara to brush through
Red lipstick

In summer I often go out with just the lipstick, but usually it’s all or nothing.

Powder, plummy lipstick.

Can’t do eyes at all now as also got blepharitis and dry eye, so have to put eye drops in during the day.
