can you recommend a really warm padded jacket for my mum?

My mum has dementia. She came to stay for Christmas in a really thin, cheap padded jacket and was shivering. I had to wrap her up in all my cardigans. She has lovely smart wool coats but is fixated on a quilted jacket.
Where can I find her one that's really warm?
M&S seem all out of stock except for canary yellow duvet coats in size 22.
Barbour's looks perfect but reviews say it's really thin and not warm.
She loves burgundy and purple and is size 10-12. I can spend up to £150 on something that will last of £75 on something for a couple of winters. If it's longer than mid thigh she won't wear it, but it does need to be long enough to cover her hips as she's really bony and feels the cold now.

Have a look for down filled jackets. I'll have a hunt now.

Lands end, the coats are so warm but also very light to wear. They have a clearance section. www.landsend.co.uk/Jackets_Coats/Womens/ix-12654?cm_re=jkts_wmns

Uniqlo probably has what you're looking for they do all sorts of different padded jackets in lots of colours.

There's a larger selection on the US site which ships to the UK www.landsend.com/products/womens-refined-down-coat/id_315863?sku_0=::F5P

Hobbs has some in the sale

These all come in Burgundy, you need to click on the colour tab, sorry I did copy them on the burgundy coats, but they pasted in other colours Confused they all come in your mum's size.
M should be size 10-12.

Landsend has some lightweight coats at great sale prices

Thank you all. Tantpoke - really kind of you to link so many. The first one you linked has great reviews and is a good colour for her, and VivienWestwood that one looks promising too as it has a warmth rating.
Off to the sales to find one!

The North Face Metropolis - expensive, but mine still going strong after a decade of heavy use. Really warm, long length, simple styling.

My dh bought me a Tommy Hilfiger coat this xmas and it's super warm . I went out today and it was hot!!.. it was £250 but worth it ,may be a bit young for her though. I did try a lovely aigle one in Cotswolds outdoor recently . I would take her to one of their shops and try them on . They aren't cheap though . This one was £350.
