Brogue ankle boots

I’m looking for brown or tan brogue boots with a wide fit, to replace ones I’ve worn to death.

These were my first thought but I hoped they’d go into the sale, and they didn’t. However, I have a 15% off code:

These are men’s; does anyone know if men’s sizing tends to run differently (bigger)?

I love the JL ones. No experience of them though I'm afraid. Have you tried Clarks?

Men's sizing and women's sizing can get different in the place where EU and UK sizes fail to line up (because the increments are different) around 6/7/8 or 40/41/42.

According to their size guide, Grenson Ford think that a 7 is a 40 in women's shoes or a 41 in men's shoes.

If you are a "size UK 7" you'll already know that some women's 7s are big and some are small, and know which kind you want. If a shoe shop thinks that a size 7 is a 40, then I know I need an 8, IYSWIM.

I have the Balla in tan. They're my favourite boots ever.

thanks all. The size thing is confusing. I’m a 6.5 or 7 in most footwear sized for women, but the only time I tried women’s Grensons, I couldn’t even get my foot into a 7. Not confident about where that leaves me in Grenson men’s based on the guide...

@PNGirl, did you size down for your Ballas? (some reviews mention this)

No, I'm a 39/6 and I ordered my usual size in a standard width. There's room for thick socks though.
