Naked Heat or Modern Renaissance palette??

I like the look of both of them but I'm not sure which one to get! I've been told that no matter what colours they use, people always get the same results with the Heat palette but I love the look of the shade Scorched in the Heat and Venetian Red from the MR palette. There's colours in both I like the look of but I don't know which one would be better? Is it true that looks always look the same with the Heat? I have green/brown eyes if that makes a difference? Does one have a better formula?

Personally, I'd go for the Modern Renaissance palette. The quality of the shadows is extraordinary and it has a much better balance/variety of colours so allows for more different kinds of looks.

The Naked Heat palette is lovely as well but there's very little variation in the shades so I find it quite samey tbh.

You won't be disappointed with Modern Renaissance. I use it pretty much every single day. The shades Burnt Orange, Realgar, Venetian Red and Love Letter do incredible things for my blue eyes.

Do you think the MR would work for green/brown eyes, Jesus? Thanks for your advice Smile

Modern renaissance. I have red hair and green eyes and I use it all the time

Modern Ren! I got it for Christmas last year and have been wearing it all year including this Christmas Day 😊 The shimmers are superb and the mattes are buttery and so blendable.

I have naked 2, 3 and smokey and don't rate them at all.

Yes it would definitely work for your eye colour!

If you search YouTube/Google/Pinterest for 'Modern Renaissance palette hazel eyes' you should get some inspiration 😊.

It seems MR is the popular one

I've got MR, but recently bought Huda's Desert Dusk palette and I think it's much better. Bit pricey, but I love it. Worth having a look to see what you think.

If there are colours from both that are really standing out to you, would it be an option to make up your own MAC/Z palette?

Ollivander84 · 27/12/2017 19:12

If you want to do your own, I can 100% recommend makeup geek eyeshadows. Loads of searches on google - try flame thrower, roulette, morocco, poppy

modern renaissance was the number one present in dd’s christmas list. Last year it was urban decay. I don’t wear huge amounts of make up, but she loves it.

Turns out I got the Huda Rose Gold palette and it's gorgeous 😍 thank you for all your recommendations!
