It must have fallen out of my bag on the train. It had a new Tarte foundation in it which i wasnt impressed with really so i need a good one in that price range, what do you suggest? What else do you recommend for a basic every day makeup? I loved my Annastasia eyebrow makup. Can i buy it here? I need good nudey lip sticks for work. Eyeshadows i have.

Urban decay eye primer and one of their naked eye palettes

You can get Anastasia brow stuff on Cult Beauty's website. It's more problematic finding what shade suits if you can't remember!

Mascara- L'Oréal or Maybeline. Literally no point in spending £££ on mascara which I learnt the hard way after buying Charlotte Tilbury's latest "effort" Hmm

Foundation is very personal but I like both Charlotte Tilbury's (which made aforementioned mascara purchase all the more disappointing)

NYX do some very good and affordable lipsticks, including liquid versions, in every colour under the sun. Their blushes are also very good, but if you fancy a splurge on the latter I love Hourglass's blushes.

What’s the best store to go to

The best mascara I’ve ever found is Too Faced - Better than sex.

ClandestineAdulation · 27/12/2017 00:28

I’ve recently bought a new Chanel foundation (not my usual choice of brand £££ but it was in the Black Friday sale in Debenhams...)

I’ve also had a bareMinerals foundation recently which has quite a light coverage.

Benefit to a really nice mascara ‘they’re real!’ but I do frequently use a L’Oréal one too; not fussy as they’re all quite good but I’d check out the different brushes to find your preference.

As a PP has mentioned, NYX do great lipsticks/glosses.

I think the concealer I use is also L’Oréal, but I don’t need it all that often, depends which foundation I use!

Nyx is my new favourite. The eyeliners don't budge.

EachandEveryone · 27/12/2017 09:29

I’ve just come back from the states and nyx was everywhere but my nieces kept directing me to Sephora for the Fenty make up and Huda otherwise I would’ve looked at nyx it was in all the supermarkets

Boots do NYX, but possibly only the larger stores. You can get it off the Boots website as well.

A1Sharon · 27/12/2017 10:15

Bourjois CC cream.
Maybelline Falsies mascara.
I use Make Up Atelier Paris primer and Dior foundation & loose powder.
Boots is good, especially a big one!

Clinique - can't go wrong with their foundation

DianaPrincessOfThemyscira · 27/12/2017 11:19

If you want to spend £££ and you like full coverage then the Fenty foundation is brilliant. It is the only thing that covers my rosacea reliably.

I like Benefit Ka-Brow for brows.

Blusher - I have many that I don’t use but I tend to fall back on Fetish by Urban Decay, which is a brown toned rose and nice and neutral on me. I also love the Velvetizer as a setting powder but you can only get it online or in their boutique stores. The setting spray is also awesome.

I would go drugstore for mascara and lipstick.

I’d go to Debenhams and Boots for shopping - make sure to sign up for the Debenhams beauty card it’s defintely worth it.

EachandEveryone · 27/12/2017 12:27

Bloody hell I spent hours in Sephora looking at Fenty I thought it was a teenage fad didn’t realise it’s nigly regarded. Where can I get it from in the UK?

OP posts:
ilovesloths · 27/12/2017 13:02

Harvey Nichols has Fenty.

EachandEveryone · 28/12/2017 11:16

OP posts:
flutterby12 · 28/12/2017 12:06

From them.

EachandEveryone · 28/12/2017 14:04

Aw it was a small one and not very good

For foundation I use either Benefit hello flawless oxygen wow, the fluid one and for more overage I use Dior Star. Benefit Roller lash is my top choice for mascara but you can't go wrong with L'Oréal or max factor. For lipsticks I like Marc Jacobs, Bourjois mat velvet fluid, and Lancôme. For blusher I like Benefit or max factor cream puff's. I also have Smashbox cream ones in a chunky pencil form.

EachandEveryone · 29/12/2017 20:51

I’m off into town next week. I like Stila lip stains anyone know something similarly?
