Am making a resolution to have nice hair in 2018. 2017 has seen a lots of stress and illness so starting out with thin hair (although hoping now am on medication will resolve this a bit or at least stop the thinning) I'd really like to treat myself to a very good cut. Can anyone recommend a good hairdresser in central London? Won't mind paying £££ as long as cut is worth it.

Thanks!

Charles WOrthington in Covent Garden gets good reviews. I have not been there in years but considering going again. They have got a lot grander since I went, look online for reviews.

I don't live close enough anymore but Aveda in Covent Garden. One of their 'advanced creative directors' cut my tricky hair very very well for more than a decade. £100 ish a go.

Me again recommending CW above, but also agree with Barchester about Aveda. Had the best haircut I ever had in there (years ago) with a French stylist who ignored everything I wanted and did his own thing - which turned out to be the best thing for my hair. My MIL, who never gave me compliments, asked me weeks after I had it cut, where I had it done. I just used to wash it and roughly dry it and it just fell into place.

I had terrible hair after a hair disaster and always went to lower end hairdressers. I gave in and went to Charles Worthington a few years ago and it’s been worth every penny. Russell in Percy Street is amazing but it’s not cheap. Since going there I get compliments on my hair and I’ve realised how important hair is to your overall look. Wish I’d done it years ago. If you can afford it then go for it. It’ll make a huge difference I’m sure.
