I need new jeans!

I usually buy my jeans from a supermarket, usually Tesco. But I have some Christmas money and would like some nice jeans that will be flattering & will last.

I’m not particularly stylish, I am usually in jeans & jumper. I like dark blue jeans, and prefer a boot cut. I’m 5’5 and size 14. I have a budget of £40 - £50 but could have some wiggle room for the perfect pair.

I have no clue where to start looking, so thought S&B might be able to help!

Watching with interest as I am very similar, though prefer a straight or slim (but not a skinny)

Gap? They’re good for me. I bought some a few weeks ago at an Outlet locally and they’re a good fit and comfy. They don’t keep wriggling down like my Next ones and I don’t need to wear a belt which is great as I have a scar fro old surgery, which is irritated after a day wearing a belt. They also do a wide range of colours/fits.

I like Dorothy Perkins, I go for skinny ankle grazers as I'm quite short, but they do a wide range of affordable jeans.

I will be investigating Gap, particularly in the sale! Any experience of Fatface?

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/12/2017 11:55

I was going to say sainsburys....try river island?.

Bluntness100 · 26/12/2017 11:58

If you can go a bit higher I swear by hilfiger and you could get them well within budget in their sale.

Caulk · 26/12/2017 12:01

Next still sell bootcut, and they’ll be in the sale this week

KatyaZamolodchikova · 26/12/2017 12:30

Thanks! I’ve ordered some from next in the sale - £8!!

I’m off to check DP, I used to shop there all the time, can’t beleive I forgot! I’m also going to check out River Island & Hilfiger.

I’m excited at the idea of more than one pair of ‘good’ jeans!

When you get them, wash them with white vinegar as fabric softener because fab softener degrades the Lycra & they end up losing shape.

I did that with a pair of river island Amelie's I bought on eBay, sold them for the same price I paid for them as they looked brand new.

harrietsoton · 26/12/2017 13:44

Topshop - although they don’t stock bootcuts, you can still find a great pair in a flattering style

KatyaZamolodchikova · 26/12/2017 14:23

So, I’ve ordered a pair from next, one from DP’s and two from Gap.
Fingers crossed!

The bootcut next £8 ones are mini length - is that what you wanted?

Also currently shopping online and was looking for cheap jeans so spotted it!

KatyaZamolodchikova · 26/12/2017 16:16

I’m not sure, but I’m going to give them a try!
