Third ear piercing?

Is it a bit “mild mid life crisis” to get your ears pierced again a third time at 34?

Seen so many nice little studs lately and got a few nice pairs for Xmas, its got me considering it .

No it's not! I got a third piercing (on one ear only) in my 30s. So have two piercings in right ear and three in left. I don't always use all the holes, apart from the 'main' two, but like to be able to swap around and to be matching or lopsided if I so wish Xmas Smile

Always fancied a tragus piercing but haven't quite had the bottle to follow through!

Thickasmince · 26/12/2017 10:16

Oh yeah, I reckon that would be a killer! The top of the ear, I think I could just about manage, but not the tragus Sad

Go on, I dare you! Grin

I've got lots of piercings (every single one done in my 30s!) The Tragus was by FAR the least painful - less so than lobes. Go for it!

chatwoo · 26/12/2017 10:21

I might need to think about it again... would need to find a good piercer though!

SteX · 26/12/2017 10:30

Go for it!! I've had so many piercings in my 30's and have a small selection I'd quite like to get in my 40's and possibly a small tattoo or three...

I have a tragus piercing, it's not painful and looks a m a z i n g !

Again, go for it, age is just a number :)

bananafish81 · 26/12/2017 11:58

I got a double forward helix 2 days before my 36th birthday

Go for it!

Really suits you banana. Deffo go for it, OP. :)

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/12/2017 14:14

My DD had her tragus done in August (she's a complete needle swerver) , she said the worst bit was the fiddly screwing the end of the stud in ! She got it changed a couple of weeks back .
She wears titanium (low risk of allergy) but its ££ , IIRC £40 for the one she got changed to.

I was considering a 3rd lobe piercing and I'm 51 . Go for it !

Thickasmince · 26/12/2017 14:52

Banana I love that. The stones make it still look dainty and delicate.

Im going for it!

I got a septum piercing, a snug piercing, and a scaffold piercing at age 42 and am thinking of a daith piercing too. Do what makes you happy! You can always remove it if you hate it.

DramaAlpaca · 26/12/2017 21:58

I got second lobe piercings at 51 & a cartilage piercing at 53. Sadly the cartilage piercing had to go as it refused to heal & kept getting infected, but I loved it while it lasted.

jubbablub · 27/12/2017 09:39

My third one has been a pain to heal. It’s on the edge of my cartilage as I have small ears. 7 months in and it still isn’t right. I keep catching it on my hair. Tragus was way way easier to heal up!!

DianaPrincessOfThemyscira · 27/12/2017 11:30

This is me.

The tragus hurt a LOT less than the top of my ears - plus easier to sleep on. I have a conch the other side which oddly didn’t hurt at all.

Will be getting two forward helix done in a couple of weeks - they wouldn’t let me just due to the discomfort levels.

I’m 35 and I don’t care - bring on the mid life crisis I say! Grin (autocorrect made that a kid life crisis which seems quite likely as well tbh)

Third ear piercing?
Leviticus · 27/12/2017 11:33

I've just had my daith done at 40. BIL jokingly refers to it as my midlife. I think you're a long time dead not to look the way you want to. Do it.

Eastpoint · 27/12/2017 11:33

I had my tragus pierced in my late 40s. It didn’t hurt & was less hassle than my daughter’s piercing at the top of her ear as there is nothing for it to catch on. It took about 9/10 months to fully heal.

Leviticus · 27/12/2017 11:34

I quite fancy a rook and conch in the other ear now.

hashtagelfie · 27/12/2017 23:26

I already have 3 in each lobe and the helix done from my teens but had my tragus pierced in August at 32! I want another helix piercing, rook and snug done and possibly a forward helix. I love my piercings

70 where is your dd getting her jewellery from? get all my titanium jewellery from here and it's really not £££!
