Non- leather bag

I'm thinking about giving up leather. It's expensive and not always great quality plus I'm trying to cut back on use of animal products.

But I need a work bag/shopped with a zip, don't really like fake leather, so what could I get? Looking for brown/tan ideally.

Oooh. I got a vegan one for Christmas. It’s doenstairs though and I can’t remember brand.

Do I win the award for most pointless reply? I’ll update tomorrow when this pops up on “I’m on”’Grin

Mai Tui (you can get them on QVC or their website)
I haven't got the handbags but I bought a set of re-useable shopping bags which are really good.

Longchamps le pliage? (Although I think handle is leather).

Zara tends to have good fake leather bags, maybe look what's in the sale on their website.

M&S do some non-leather bags too (and they're my go-to for non leather shoes)

I bought a big tan pretendy Mulberry Bayswater-esque bag there (£50ish) but I don't like crook-of-arm bags and the fastening (though it was secure) bugged the bejesus out of me so eventually it went to recycling heaven.

Had an Amanda Lamb non leather bag which was really nice (but all hers now seem to be leather so no good )

Kipling is an option and some Fossil.

WorldPeasAndSweetcorn · 25/12/2017 23:49

Matt and natt or wills vegetarian shoes. Or. Primark. Depends on budget

How do you feel about second hand leather stuff?
I try to avoid animal products and don't generally buy new leather. But I will buy used/nearly new leather shoes, boots & bags etc from eBay.
You can get some great bargains and the money isn't going to the animal industry so I don't feel too bad about it. Am sure there are plenty of moral holes with this choice but I am happy enough with it.
