How do I make my SPARKS card work?

It's activated, its linked to my online account, I use it in store when I buy anything, I look at the offers on line regularly. I hear other people saying there's 20% off cashmere, etc. But all there ever is on mine is essentially online lottery tickets 'a chance to win xyz'. How do I get decent offers on it, currently feels like a whole lot of hassle or nothing.

I think the 'lottery tickets' are just a seasonal thing

I've had it for four months though, and that's the only offers that I get. :(

Ring up and ask

HolgerDanske · 24/12/2017 09:56

Are you collecting points on it? If you are, just keep doing what you’re doing. It takes a while before you accrue enough points to get the decent offers. And offers are based on your shopping habits, so you need to do enough shopping to get the algorithms working.

Giraffeski · 24/12/2017 09:57

It depend how much you use it, it’s linked to your points balance. There’s a bit on the website which shows how many points you have and how many you need to unlock different deals.

Strongbeatsskinny · 24/12/2017 10:05

The offers change every fortnight on a Thursday. Look at your email they send loads .The more points you have the more offers you can add to the sparks card. One week they are food the next fortnight there’ll be clothes or home ware.

You can also have a cashiers at the till point with a hand held device on every department. Then there’s the order hubs where you can scan your sparks card and look at the offers and add them onto your card like you can at home.

I’m sure if you go into a store the staff will be more than happy to show you or explain in as much detail as I have.

BumWad · 24/12/2017 10:09

Depends on how many points you have on the offers you get

slalomsuki · 24/12/2017 14:20

Ive never managed to get mine to work and I've had it for years. At the moment I have 130000 points on it and my offers are 20p off a sandwich of my choice, 10% off cheese and 20% off kids clothes. None of these I have ever bought from M & S.. It did give me a preview of their sale yesterday and I bought a couple of things but that's it.

If anyone can figure it out please do let me know.

ilovecherries · 24/12/2017 15:01

Ah, right, I didn't realise it was linked to your balance, I just see the 'there's 20% off xyz with sparks' on here, and then I'm disappointed when I go to look and I dont have that offer. Same with their promo emails, it's all 'chance to win'. Maybe in 4 months I haven't spent enough, because I mainly just buy beauty and food (because I've been waiting for the 20% off cashmere offer before spending anything else Grin). I've got 10000 points, no idea if that's high enough to trigger offers or not. Given its minuscule compared to suki, I'm guessing not.

I’ve got about 35,000 points I think. I get good offers on a regular basis but it did take a while to get to the point where it started to feel worth it.

Spangles7 · 24/12/2017 15:15

I'd much rather have simple nectar style points with the occasional offer than an email that needs checking every week to discover if I have 99p off sushi or 2% off denim.

HolgerDanske · 24/12/2017 15:17

I guess it depends on the individual, but I really don’t find it difficult to navigate. It’s no hassle at all, I just check my current sparks offers online before I go out and if there’s anything I want I add it, and voila.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 24/12/2017 15:22

I’ve got 68,000 and get good offers . Recent decent ones are 20% off beauty , £5 off food spend etc. You just have to keep up to speed with them .

BlueEyedWonder · 24/12/2017 19:51

I’m feeling the same OP.
But I’ve only had my card for 3 months so assume we just need to be patient!

Timefortea99 · 24/12/2017 22:50

I regularly get 20% off of all manner of things, so does my DH
