What shoes in Winter with ankle grazers?

I need to get some smarter clothes as I am moving to a different area of the office that meets with customers.

As lots of the trousers seem to be ankle grazers what footwear should I wear with these at the moment?

Help please for the clueless!!

I would wear brogues I think, with a blouse or shirt. Everyone recommends Clarks Hamble Oaks.

I also think a pointed flat looks nice: ASOS

You can wear a knee length pop sock type thing for warmth.

I also wear them with ankle boots if they are skinny fit - chelsea boots in black leather go with everything.

Brogues with snazzy socks must remember to buy luxe socks in sales . If ankle boots there needs to be a tiny flesh gap, don't tuck. I don't do it with smart trouses but with jeans plus boots I wear trainer socks, the ones you can actually see if you wear them with trainers.
