Nice work boots that last?

Hi all, I want to invest in a good pair of (office) work boots that will last. Any advice on where to look? All the 'fashion' type boots seem to have poor quality soles and designed to fall apart. I do need to be able to walk in them too which is another hindrance as the heels can't be too high. Is this possible or am I wishing for a miracle product in looking for practicality in nice boots? Price range around £100 though higher I can look at 'as new' on second hand sites.

Timberland have comfortable heeled boots and flats. They're sturdy and last forever.
Usually 30% off in the sale if not more.

I always buy the leather boots in Sainsbury's when the 20%off deal is on. The last years and years!

I have always bought Boots from clarks, but from shoooing from tkmaxx also buy the Josef Seibel or Tamaris brand. Very comfortable, stylish and practical

I keep my work shoes and boots in the office and then have a pair to commute in as I take the train and have a few km to walk either end. You'll get years of wear out of them that way! It also means they stay nice and clean if you're not tramping round the rain and snow in them.
