As title!
Is it the way the hair is cut, what your natural hair is like, or use of certain products? If so what??

All of the above! Product is probably most important but a good cut is also necessary. I've had very short crops and usually the texture only becomes apparent once I put the product on.

Im getting done at 9am tomorrow
I will say i want it textured
What product do you recommend?
Wax, gel?
Any great make recommedations?

Oh, I wrote a post but it seems to have vanished! when I've had it short I've usually had two products to style - one for hold and volume/thickness (cream-mousse for wet hair, or thickening powder once dry), and another for shaping/defining (wax or similar). I just tend to watch what the hairdresser uses then buy it later online, for about half the price they sell it in the salon... Most recently I was using Redken for the cream-mousse and powder (both), can't remember what I used for the defining, but my hair is longer again now so I'm on a completely different set of products. Hope it goes well!

Hair type too! Mine is wavy when longer so is good for texture when short. Very straight hair might need a lot more product and styling.

Rollerbird · 20/12/2017 22:58

Luckily mine is wavy long so i should be good!

Looks fab o.p, mine's pretty much that length. I can recommend a bow drying spray called 3 day volume by elnett in a gold spray bottle. I also use tigi root boost in a purple spray bottle but use this sparingly as it can get sticky if you use too much.

BLOW drying spray!Smile

One of the key elements in that photo is that the model's hair is bleached, which makes the hair dry and essentially creates its own texture.

Love it!

A few highlights would give you both visual as well as more physical texture. Lovely cut and really suits you.

Fresta · 23/12/2017 00:00

Yes, some highlights would add thickness and visual texture with darker roots.
