Beauty products you DON'T like?

I was thinking about makeup products that I DON'T like and I came up with a LOT.

Allow me to share a few with you:

Bourjois serum foundation- horrible formula, made my dry skin very, very oily.
Dior Forever foundation- oxidised a LOT
Freedom eyebrow product (like ABH Dipbrow but shit)
Maybelline Lash Sensational (pale pink tube) mascara- just thought it was rubbish
Max Factor lipstick (stick one)- slid all over my mouth and felt so oily.
Colourpop lipstick- all looks purple on me and I have 20 of them Sad
Benefit They're Real mascara- clumped my lashes together
Bourjois concealer- oxidised a LOT
Benefit Push Up eyeliner- dried out quickly and was awful after that.
Collection mascara- Black tube. Literally did NOTHING.
Natural collection foundation- when blended out it went all clumpy and came off my face and went GREY??

I have a few Make Up Revolution highlighters- the silver one doesn't even show up?! Love my gold one though Confused

The worst one... Illamasqua rich liquid foundation. Went patchy as hell and separated. Looked disgusting. £36 as well. ----2/10.

Might be controversial, but I have to use twice the amount of MAC Studio Fix Fluid foundation to get full coverage than what I do with my L'Oréal one. Is it just me? About six/ eight pumps to do my whole face, whereas the L'Oréal one (infalliable in the glass bottle) is usually three, four at a maximum but rarely needed.

What about you?Grin

Kat Von D tattoo liner is pants. Pants I tell you.

PasDeDeux · 20/12/2017 11:24

Maybelline Lash Sensational is fab! Wearing it right now flutters long lashes

TheTroutofNoCraic · 20/12/2017 11:32

Clinique Even Better foundation: oxidized orange
Any benefit blush...either to orange, too red, or too nothingy.
Laura Mercier foundation: just couldn't get it 'sit'
Nails Inc polishes...always chip in under a day
Clarins Beauty Flash Balm...smelly and clogging

8DaysAWeek · 20/12/2017 13:54

Nyx brow pomade - just rubbish and no where near as good as ABH
Illamasqua foundation - separated on my face
L'Oréal Paris superliner - didn't draw well on my skin, as though it was too dry and not enough product on the felt tip
Champagne Pop highlighter (J Hill) - too orange

8DaysAWeek · 20/12/2017 13:56

Oh and Kat Von D foundation (tattoo one or something) - amazing colour match and coverage initially but 4-5 hours later got so cakey and horrible

threehoursin · 20/12/2017 17:02

Bare Minerals. Overpriced, pore-hugging shite.

AlmostChristmas · 20/12/2017 17:47

E/L doublewear! Makes my skin look stressed vintage 😱 Sits in any line, crease and pore and does not suit dry patches!

Candlelight234 · 20/12/2017 18:08

Illamasqua Nail polish - went thick and clumpy in the bottle very quickly. Rimmel is far better.

Chanel mascara - panda eyes and flaked on me.

user1471426611 · 20/12/2017 18:13

Any foundation for me! I've tried so many and hate the look and feel of them all.

Delatron · 20/12/2017 20:08

Maybeline great lash: clumpy and smudgy.
Mac lipsticks are very drying especially ruby woo.

Itsautumn · 20/12/2017 21:14

No 7 serum- did nothing
Charlotte Tilbury-over priced rubbish. Can’t get on with the foundation or lipsticks at all. The perfume is awful too. Don’t get the hype at all!
Love Bourjois foundation though.

YouWereRight · 20/12/2017 21:18

NYX mascara. All of them are a crock of suite.

MiserableAsSin · 20/12/2017 21:22

Body shop chamomile cleanser . Smells ok but doesn't really clean everything off like an oil cleanser would .

Nyx liquid lips . Look amazing for the 30 seconds that they last .

Anastasia dipbrow . Totally dried out after 2 weeks .

Thegiantofillinois · 20/12/2017 21:26

Benefit they're real takes too long to dry. It is good as a final coat over my Kimmel day/ night to give length.

Babababababybel23 · 20/12/2017 21:30

Nivea soft moisturizer it is greasy as hell

RosieCockle · 20/12/2017 21:33

I really don't get the two comments on Anastasia Dip Brow. I bought mine in May 2015, have used it nearly every day since (about 85% of the time), and it's still fine and about 75% product left.

I hate most mascaras as they smudge on me. Just bought the latest Urban Decay and Le Volume de Chanel and they're the same. (Armani Black Ecstasy is good though.)

I don't get Pore Professional (too silicone-y); Urban Decay eye potion primer (crap); UD All-Nighter spray (bought two bottles, old & new formula, both times cane out in tiny red dots all over my face); and Chanel AND Dior nail varnish both chip; Lancôme mascaras are meh.

I could go on, but that's quite enough for now. Grin

Sailorjerrycherry · 20/12/2017 21:38

honey totally agree about Kat von D liner! Another thread was raving about this recently and I was like Hmm

One that disappointed me most was Huda Faux Filter foundation. Loved her eyeshadows and highlighters; travelled an hour to the nearest Harvey Nichs to get matched - bought the foundation, primer and brush. Truly awful. Slides into pores and wrinkles you never knew you had and leaves your skin really greasy before giving you a spot breakout you haven’t seen since teenage years. Horrendous!
