Can anyone help me find a nice hat for a 20 year old?

Some kind of a decent one. And moderately fashionable. I have no clue what is fashionable fr a 20 year old. Ideally with a scarf to match. Although not too matchy-matchy. Budget about £45. Even hints as to wtf 20 year olds wear. Anything.

Thanks, and apologies for being demanding but I'm rather desperate and Christmas is drawing near and the shops....the shops...

Bobble hats are in at the moment and age appropriate

20 year old woman or man?

If a woman, this French Connection set is quite nice.

ASOS

Debenhams have got a huge range of hats. In the bobble line they have all sorts of colour combinations, you could perhaps get a red hat with a black bobble and a black scarf (too much to hope you might find a black scarf with red bobbles!). Xmas Grin

John Lewis have some very nice cashmere scarves in lovely colours in your price range, and a range of hats that wouldn't be too "matchy".

DD and friends all love a cashmere beanie. It's a great gift.

Thanks everyone. It's a 20 year old woman.

I'll try for a pom pom hat. Something like this one in grey with the yellow pom pom?

I will have a look at the cashmere too when I get a second. She has a few sensory issues so she might love cashmere.

Berets are very in with the young trendy sorts at the moment. Red ones especially. Accessorize, Topshop, ASOS etc etc

I love these Barts ones here

dolfinne · 18/12/2017 18:55

dd has a lovely warm Barts one which has lasted a few years

shedragon · 18/12/2017 20:04

Love the Bart’s ones. Thanks so much.

I did see some Baker boy hats on the Topshop website. I’ll fish with her mum and see what she thinks, I’m not sure they’re her.

I'm23 and loathe bobble hats. I think it really depends on the person is question's taste. If you are not sure then get one of those Scottish beret things (like normal berets but knitted, sometimes with a wool bobble), these are universally inoffensive.
