Double Wear Shade Match

GWeatherwax · 17/12/2017 20:21

I've been using No7 foundations for over a year now in Calico - the colour is perfect but their foundations either don't have the coverage I'd like (very red face) or come off far too easily.

I used to use Estée Lauder Double Wear in shell which I loved, but in photos I usually looked a bit too ghostly. Anyone know what shade is the closest match to the No7 calico?

It's an hour's drive to a Boots that stock it so I'm being lazy (and I've ended up yellow/ orange so many times at the hands of the counter MUAs!).

I think (I could be wrong) that all Double Wear does this in photos!

Op I could be wrong, I thought it was to do with the flash on the camera! I don't wear it myself so I could be talking shite! 😂

HildaZelda · 17/12/2017 20:59

@BusterGonad, no you're spot on. All ELDW gives dreadful flashback in photos. That's why it's not recommended as a bridal foundation.
OP, you probably look absolutely fine in real life. Don't mind the photo.

I use Calico in no7 but can wear either Bone (1W1) or ivory nude (1N1) in Double Wear so I think you really need to go and get matched to be sure you're happy.

suchatiredbunny · 17/12/2017 21:36

Disclaimer.....I don't have my photo taken, ever if I can possibly help it so flashback isn't much of an issue for me! Grin

Thanks every one! I'll take a trek through as it is a fantastic product Smile

bunny I hate getting my photo taken but DM is a big fan of taking a hundred pictures at any occasion 😂
