Split nail (pic included)

My nail split several months ago. Even if I cut it right down to what feels like below the split, it grows back with the split. Any idea what I could do to remedy this please?

Put a piece of micropore, or teabag on the spilt and paint over with superglue. Then leave it to grow out properly before cutting it again. It worked for me in the same situation
