I've been using the Rosie for Autograph (M&S) radiance cream, I use it after moisturizer and before foundation. It's gives you a glow but not sure about the pores as I don't have a pore issue!

Thanks, lucky you. I didnt until last year 😢

Have you tried Benefit Porefessional? I know it's a best seller, Boots sell a sample size if you're unsure, also Smashbox is a firm favourite on beauty pages and blogs. I've got the white one and it's great, once again Boots sell a sample size.

I mean clear one!

You might need 2, 1 to cover the pores and another for the rest of your face. My favourite for pores/blurring is the Cover Fx blurring primer. Rest of my face I like the cover fx calming primer or the ordinary high adherence primer. Smashbox do a range of primers for all skin concerns, I really like their pores filling one, and they do a brightening/colour correcting one.

Have you tried simply exfoliating your face regularly? That will help brighten your face on its own, and your makeup will go on better.

I've been using a number 7 primer and am very happy with it. Makeup goes on muvh better and last longer

BusterGonad · 17/12/2017 20:09

I agree Jersey if it was me I'd do the pore refining one then the Rosie one!

Loveagoodbook · 17/12/2017 20:15

Ive tried exfoilitating a few times, doesnt seem to do much though. Any suggestions what to use to exfoliate with? Its getting me down how bad my skin looks 😢

Love I'm sure your skin isn't as bad as you think it is! I have hangs up over my eye wrinkles but not once has anyone mentioned them or agreed with me when I've brought them up. Maybe you would benefit from going to a make up counter like Clinique, Estée Lauder or Lancôme and get a skin consultation?

roobrr · 17/12/2017 20:19

Benefit Porefessional, I swear by it.

roobrr · 17/12/2017 20:19

Oh and MAC skin base visage!

Loveagoodbook · 17/12/2017 20:53

Thanks, i did go to Estee Lauder in my local Boots last year, never felt so intimidated in my whole life, just felt like she didnt want to help me! Ended up buying some double wear that i dont really like as it makes my skin look dry, just felt like i needed to buy something though! So ive been put off going to the counters now

Have you tried acid exfoliation? Look at Pixi Glow Tonic which is 6% glycolic acid. Another to look at is Alpha H Liquid Gold.

AnaViaSalamanca · 17/12/2017 21:01

There is no one size fits all. It really depends on your skin type, whether it is dry/oily or dehydrated etc. I personally don't like porefessional or any silicone based primer since they clog the pores, just use some serum, water based moisturiser and sunscreen. Also you have to see what foundation you use as sometimes certain primers don't act well with all foundations.

Nyx pore filler is pretty good. If you do try it, instead of rubbing it all over just ‘dab’ it on to the pores.
For tired skin, I love Loreal Lumi Primer (something like that, its in a long white tube)
