Wiggle dress?

Is a wiggle dress the same as a bodycon or pencil dress?
I think I’d like one for my works Xmas party in January but I don’t want a clingy, flimsy fabric which most seem to be. Something thicker and more structured but still fitted would be better for my shape, ideally lowish v-neck, knee/midi length and capped sleeves or no sleeves. I quite like the vintage looking ones but most of them look don’t look very eveningy.
Would they look silly on a 39 year old?

Use your mirror not your age to decide if you'd look good in something. The only way to tell is to try one on.

(Wiggle is a major seller of online clothing, btw, for triathlons. I opened this expecting to be able to frivol about them branching out into apres-event wear!)

I think I’d pop out if the top of that one MrsPestilence though it looks like the right kind of fabric for me.

I bought this dress for my christmas party and its amazing - thicker woven stretch (not stretchy lyycra - im much to old and not in good enough shape) smoothing, skims over my lumps and bumps is just really flattering, making the best of what i've got.

Cant wait to wear it again on Christmas day.

Pretty small fitting so try your usual size and next one up.
