Best Home Hair Colour for Grey Roots

Just used a home colour and it was absolutely useless on my grey roots, hasn't even touched them!

I looked at the box (after I'd thrown it across the bathroom floor) and it said, "up to 70% grey coverage" aghhhhhhh!

Can anyone recommend a home colour which had 100% grey coverage or thereabouts!

which colour was it? How long did you leave it on? Sometimes they say to leave it on for about 15/20 minutes extra on the roots before doing the lengths of the hair

Garnier nutriesse, Nice and Easy are good.

I have more or less the same problem, I colour my natural auburn hair, which I think has a few greys now, a mid brown colour. The roots are very very stubborn & resistant to dye, I've tried quite a few home colours & so far the only one I've found that actually covers is Schwarzkopf's Poly Colour Tint, £2 from Sainsburys, Wilkos and I think Asda. The only thing is there's not a huge range of colours but the Natural Brown & Medium Brown are really nice natural browns, no reddy tones. Doesn't come with conditioner, so have to use your own. Says to leave it on for 30 mins but I leave it on for about 40 at my roots.

In the end my greys became dye resistant and it was salon visits from then on

I’m really quite grey these days and use Garnier Olia in one of their blonde shades. It gets rid of them!
