Help! Men's smart(ish) winter boots

DH has a pretty impractical shoe collection for this time of year. It consists of smart black office shoes, casual brown shoes, running shoes and welly boots. He’s a man of little stuff Grin

Needless to say he’s nearly lost his toes over the last couple of weeks during the cold snap. He leaves home very early and has a 1h+ commute to work which involves trains and two walks.

I’d like to buy him a warm pair of warm smartish winter boots for Christmas that he can wear to work (but switch to office shoes if need be) and casually on weekends. We live rural but can wear wellies when out in woods etc.

MN jury, here are a short list of two, would love other recommendations. I have no idea whether Uggs are a no no?? I used to hate them until I bought a pair and now that I have them, they’re so warm I don’t care what they look like! What do you think?

My husband lives in a few pairs of Russel and Bromley boots at this time of year. He walks a lot, they are fantastic quality and come it at around £185.
