I know this is vain, but it's style and beauty so w/e.
Do you ever feel like you look really young but really old at the same time? childish yet almost gaunt ? Kinda like Angela bettis or Shirley Henderson.
I've always been scrawny except for a year or two when I was on medication that made me gain a LOT of weight. Of course I had the "mum bod" which was a bit aging but my face filled out and I'd get people thinking I looked far younger.
Now I no longer get those comments , although ppl seem unable to guess.
My body is very slight and waif-ish but my cheekbones stick out and I almost feel it's aging. I'm not starving myself , so it's not unnatural weight for me or anything.
Do you guys suggest fillers? I don't want to gain a lot of weight again.
Is this just my imagination? Makeup tricks?

I lost a stone and a half
I noticed I looked
Older in the face and younger in the body
I had fillers last year as well as lips done
I chose a practitioner that does a face lift type affect which is small amounts of filler throughout the face
. Very subtle - needed it as my face got too long and thin .

ginorwine · 14/12/2017 22:53

Ps I have the body type of Shirley but not the other person - she looks more slight . Just in case that helps .

I'm pretty certain my face looks a bit gaunt now. I have high cheekbones and I tell myself I now have naturally contoured cheeks. I find blusher helps and a little highlighter. And a tonne of concealer.
Although recently bitchy school mum commented that my face was looking thinner. Not sure I want to go down the fillers route, have seen a few puffy faces and think I prefer my chiselled looks.

Honestly chiselled faces/high cheekbones are fabulous. I would embrace it as best as you can as they are assets really. I’m v slim but have chubby cheeks/low cheekbones, would definitely prefer yours.

Dustbunny1900 · 15/12/2017 14:23

Thanks roseretro, I'm trying. I've always wanted chubby cheeks so,I guess the grass is greener!

Ginorwine-were the fillers worth the money??

Well they did make a daily difference
Problem is I spent too much so that I was sure to get very good injectors and no brusising but then I had to have less than I wanted !
It makes a daily difference and it totally worth it
My issue is I wd like to pay less for someone equally good so my money goes further as I struggle to pay for it but I don't know how to .
I had them once before for an 8 th of what I paid last time but it was painful with one not good lump - it did settle tho
I don't kno what I'd do next time
I'd say it took 8 years off me but that cd be wishful
Thinking
! Ha ha
Pm me if u like

Yes, the fact that they are so expensive but not at all permanent is depressing Sad

I don't think people look better or younger with fillers/botox. There comes a point where it just looks strange. A glowing face, good skin, a toned and healthy body - all looks so much better. I know that despite my toned ass, I definitely don't look 20 or even 30 anymore. And as I hurtle towards my 50's and menopause, I don't want to start a losing battle. Also worry about setting an example to my dc.

Dustbunny1900 · 15/12/2017 22:37

Well I only just turned 30 , and I have a great diet and I exercise everyday , no cigs or alcohol etc. but losing 4 stone extremely fast did a number on my face.
Maybe I should save money and work the waif/heroin chic look. Ha

It probably looks fine at 30, because you probably won't be developing jowls or any slight sag. Your neck is probably Ok. I think at my age it's time to accept the changes.
Well done on the weight loss!

ginorwine · 16/12/2017 20:17

The thing is my fillers are not extreme
They just basically minimise the nose to mouth lines and add a small amount of lost volume
People say I look well but don't know why
Yes I do however feel inclined to keep them up which is every two years ! At the cost of a holiday - so maybe I will change my mind !
