Not posted for a while but pretty happy with contents recently- overall for £35 can't complain

Like the nail varnish which brings out my inner 15 year old. Good job because I've tried it and now will never come off! Smile

LoniceraJaponica · 19/12/2017 07:41

DD likes today's she is having it.

AwkwardSquad · 19/12/2017 07:43

I really like today’s. I’m a big fan of sparkly nail polish - it’s my inner 12 year old trying to get out!

snowflakestar · 19/12/2017 07:51

I will try today's, I'm sure it will impress my young daughter.

Costacoffeeplease · 19/12/2017 07:57

My first re-gift out of the M&S calendar, my friend’s daughter will be pleased with it but I would never use it

MoonlightMedicine · 19/12/2017 07:59

Today’s is amazing. It’s not silver as a PP said. It’s clear with holographic sparkles. Fantastic as a top coat to add a touch of glitter and really easily buildable too. Happy :)

I can post again! Went away for weekend on Thursday and although I had planned on taking the next few boxes I forgot in the rush to leave. It was handy timing with the new thread though as I was able to avoid easily!

Got back yesterday and opened the four days I had missed.

I thought another black mascara as a bit samey but it will get used so am not too bothered.

Have had the REN cream before and was underwhelmed. I'll use it but wouldn't buy it. I'm assuming it's their version of Clarins Beauty Flash Balm which I never found great either.

Travel sized hairspray always useful. I tend to use hairspray when I'm going out at night.

I already have an unused full size bottle of the Ameliorate body lotion. Was trying to finish a bottle of the Palmers version but can't stand the smell of the Palmers. Might junk and start on the Ameliorate.

Not madly keen on today's. Made me think of the HoF one too!

And I'm all caught up! Xmas Smile

YolandasFridge · 19/12/2017 08:59

Swap pile for me today! Happy to have the odd dud as it's been so fab

WindyWednesday · 19/12/2017 09:10

Love today nail colour!

It needs a top coat over it as it’s quite gritty. But I will wear this. I had hoped for the peelable base coast by the same brand that M&S are marketing at the moment, it peels off so means the glitter doesn’t stay til it grows out Grin

Butterymuffin · 19/12/2017 09:19

Today's is OK rather than brilliant - I already have (cheaper) glittery silver top coat that I'm wearing atm (it's Christmas, I don't worry about looking tacky Xmas Wink) but this will get used at some point. Have enjoyed the skincare of last few days. Definitel worth the money overall.

PodgeBod · 19/12/2017 09:25

Rodial (who make the dragons blood mask) make a £750 face cream which is made of bee stings, 24ct gold and human placenta Shock although it's a fantastic 90% off on their website if anybody was interested. I'm starting to wonder if they really are farming dragons for their blood.

FridgeCut · 19/12/2017 09:38

It dries very quick, but definitely needs a top coat to seal in the grit.

crumble82 · 19/12/2017 10:17

Best one yet and I don’t wear nail varnish. My DD4 loves all things glitter so during the regular refusal to get dressed I threatened to throw it in the bin and the morning has never gone so smoothly. I wonder what else I can use it for?!

WindyWednesday · 19/12/2017 10:18

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to take it off. It’s welded to my nails!!

Xmasbaby11 · 19/12/2017 10:22

I've got Xmas nail wraps in atm but when they look shabby I'll try to nail polish. I'm encouraged by people saying it looks nice on. I think all glitter nail polish is a nightmare to get off - I have about 6 already, though keeping them for when my little dd are old enough!

WindyWednesday · 19/12/2017 10:26

I think it will be a nightmare to remove. It’s very gritty. Looks good, but feels very rough with a clear top coat on. DD (6) is keen to try it.

chloechloe · 19/12/2017 10:30

I wasn't crazy about this on first sight - I too wondered if it had escaped from a HoF box. But maybe it will be ok over something else to add a bit of shimmer.

Shock at that Rodial cream podge!

crumble you could offer to paint a nail each day in return for getting dressed! My DD1 (nearly 3) is in the most mismatched ensemble at nursery today after getting herself dressed. Still I guess I should be grateful that she willing put something on.

AlannaOfTrebond · 19/12/2017 11:33

Holographic bits aren't for me. I prefer my glitter plain silver, I'm currently wearing Essie Set in Stones over the top of navy blue polish.

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 19/12/2017 11:33

Bit meh about today's. I would have preferred a more wearable (boring!) colour. I have a few glitter varnishes and rarely wear them.
Ah well, I can offer to do my niece's nails over Christmas I suppose!

AlannaOfTrebond · 19/12/2017 11:36

It is a pity I'm not a fan of the colour though as the bottle is beautiful!

TheLongRider · 19/12/2017 11:38

The peelable nail polish is essentially PVA glue! If you're stuck and you want to use a glitter polish, paint a thin coat of PVA on your fingers, let it dry (it takes longer than a base coat, but you save the time getting the glitter off later) and then paint the glitter polish on top.

It won't last longer than a night but it's very easy to peel all the layers off when your ready.

TheLongRider · 19/12/2017 11:38

TheLongRider · 19/12/2017 11:45

Other than nail wraps with acetone and tin foil, the quickest way I've found to remove glitter polish is using one of the dip in sponge remover pots.

Again you can make your own by using a small glass jar with a lid (pesto sized), either cosmetic sponges or at a push kitchen sponge cut into chunks and nail polish remover. Stuff the jar with foam chunks, leave enough space to push in a finger. Pour in the nail polish remover and soak the sponges. Insert glitter covered finger, squish around and ta dah! the polish is gone. When you're finished put the lid on and reuse until the remover no longer works.

ToffeeNosed · 19/12/2017 11:47

Had the glitter nail polish on for 1/2 hour and it was driving me mad catching on my clothes. Took longer to remove. I'll stick it in my daughters crafting box.

WindyWednesday · 19/12/2017 11:54

Good tips TheLongRider

I soak cotton wool in remover then wrap each nail and then wrap in tin foil. Wait for 10mins and it should come off.

I’m liking my glittery nails.
