Fat mum in need of clothes help

Sigh. Before I had my twins I was an hourglass shape, size 12 (occasionally 14), found lots of things that suited me. I'm 5'2" so quite short.

Now I'm a 14 (occasionally 16) of a completely different shape. My belly is still quite floppy thanks to diastasis and c section, and I don't have as much of an obvious waist as I did. I have fairly broad shoulders / ribs.

I literally have no idea what shape clothes I need, I look awful in everything I have.

Can anyone help me? I want to buy a few outfits that don't make me feel hideous but I have no clue where to start!

I recommend flowy wrap tops to hide the belly, then a structured piece like a blazer on top to give you shape.

Thank you, will try that - based on trying on what I have, despite it being too small, I think some empire line tops that are reasonably fitted up top and come to mid thigh would be good, will need to see if I can find any anywhere! Not sure where to shop either.

Yes, finding the right fitting clothes is really difficult. You can try the halter tops with a shrug or wear one piece. When I had put on weight I used to wear one piece dresses. I usually shop online fro clothes and bikinis from store like amazon, dollboxx and ebay. Just feel confident in whatever you wear.
