Men's waterproof, windproof coat

My dh's waterproof jacket is no longer waterproof so Christmas seems a perfect time to buy him a new coat. He has a smart wool coat so this is something for dog walking, going out at the weekend etc. He likes the look of waxed jackets but other than Barbour, I have no idea where to look. He's also very tall so that complicates things. Any recommendations?

My husband has a really great JackWolfskin one but if course it's not waxed. Worth having a look if he's not too fussed though.

My dh is 6'3 and we for a great weatherproof coat from Costco I've seen similar for over £100 and we paid around £30. I still can't believe the bargain as it's actually better quality than some really expensive ones I've seen. It has the extra zippy part inside too.

That was quick. Thanks. I do like JackWolfskin jackets and although I don't think it's what he wants, I think they're more practical. Unfortunately we have no cosco near us.

Oh no shame on the costco front as their stuff is amazing quality. Have you tried Debenham? They're always having sales on too and have lots of designers...

My husband picked up a coat for his walk to the station / commute in the Lands End sale last year. It’s not high fashion but he said it’s the warmest coat he’s ever had!
