Mango Outlet online slower than a very slow thing

According to tracking they've had my return since 17th Nov (well over the 3-12 working days indicated on their site) and I've had no update emails so I'm trying to get in contact to find out what's going on. Can never get through on the phone and emails take a week to be acknowledged. There was a minor kerfuffle early on as they'd taken payment but there was no record of the order on my account and I received no update emails for almost two weeks so my overall impression is that they're unusually disorganised.

The order cost £50, so while it's not exactly breaking the bank it's not a small sum either. Of all the shopping I've done online since Nov this is the only return I'm still having to chase up.

Does anyone know is this normal for them? I've only ordered from Mango (but not Outlet, which seems a completely different thing) one other time a couple of years ago and I don't remember there being any problems.

I ordered my whole holiday wardrobe from there, it arrived so late I was actually in Cyprus when it was dispatched. The order sat in my neighbour’s porch whilst I wore a hastily grabbed selection of clothing I had stashed.

Really slow normally, and get even slower if they've had a big promotion on.

Thanks, glad it's not just me. This kind of service really stands out when basically every other kind of internet shop (small shops, big shops etc) seems to do better for both shipping and returns.

i have issues with them, no way to contact them over 2 weeks as 2 of the items from a large order didnt turn up, ive sent many emails and can never get through on the phone, i think i will just have to forget about those 2 items

dolfinne did you pay with PayPal? You can open a case with them, or if you paid with a cc take it up with the cc company. I'm using Resolver for mine: www.resolver.co.uk/ I wouldn't forget about the items you paid for, if they don't give you what you paid for you should get your money back.

arousingcheer thanks that is useful, i will wait until the end of the week and see if i get a reply first or manage to get through on the phone

Yes, keeping in mind how slow they are it is likely your stuff will show up, just months after you ordered it. If they were any slower they'd be going backwards.

Funny, a couple of days ago I did a search here for La Redoute to see if anyone had bought a really lovely fake fur jacket I was considering. I read page after page of comments about how bloody slow they are and I suddenly remembered I ordered a load of stuff from them 10-15yrs ago and they were so rubbish I decided never again. I can't believe all this time has passed and they still haven't improved. In the age of Amazon that kind of nonsense sticks out like a sore thumb.

I'm currently raging at Le Redoute as well. Ordered a jacket 20 days ago. It was in stock but still showing as pending three days ago. As I wasn't going to be at home for three weeks I phoned, emailed AND used their web form to cancel the order. No reply to the latter two but after waiting on the phone for 90 minutes they said you couldn't cancel an order. Today it was apparently dispatched to a Hermes parcel shop. As they only keep them for 7 days, it will probably go into some automated returns abyss that will have me still chasing a refund at Easter. I'm really cross. Never again.
