Anybody seen any nice jumper dresses?

I've been wearing jumper dresses since the 80s, but they seem pretty few and far between these days. Anybody seen any nice ones?

Hush. I got a really nice one. Black. They also had burgundy. I bought both but figured I’d wear black more.

Esker · 10/12/2017 17:58

I got quite a nice one from Oasis recently. Very dark green with a high neck. And also one from River Island in grey. They weren't pricey. Probably not fab quality, but they are machine-washable, which is all I ask Grin

Sammysquiz · 10/12/2017 19:39

There’s some good ones on ASOS

PhilODox · 11/12/2017 00:01

What about WoolOvers? There's are wool (cashmere and merino usually) but machine washable. Nice colours, and usually a discount knocking around.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 11/12/2017 11:15

Thanks. I can see a very long one on Hush (far too long) or a flouncy one, which isn't what I'm after. The Woolovers ones look too long too, I think. I'm very short and want mid thigh length, ideally.

This Oasis one would be perfect, but it's acrylic.

Gap has a few.

Esker · 11/12/2017 17:42

I have that Oasis one. It's not bad. Agree acrylic is far from premium, but for a cheap and cheerful, it does the job!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 11/12/2017 17:54

I'm postmenopausal, I think, and would be a hot mess in acrylic. It does look lovely though.

I bought the Sainsbury one too! In a blue

polyhymnia · 11/12/2017 18:13

On the burgundy/ berry front, I have these, both in wool/cotton mix:

www.boden.co.uk/en-gb/womens-dresses/knitted-dresses/k0013/womens-riley-knitted-dress?w=STYLE_JUMP

www.wraplondon.co.uk/fashion-WM98-SMWDRSK/dresses-skirts/xiara-knitted-dress.htm

Like them both - second not as baggy as it looks, on me anyway. But both are rather £££, though there's a 20% code around for Boden.

sammy891 · 11/12/2017 20:04

Monsoon usually have a nice range and their quality is good for the price as well.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 11/12/2017 20:07

The Boden ones are too long. And the Wrap one is too £££ and too loose. I just want one like a longish jumper.

I too have been wearing them for years and my favourite ones have all been from Mango but I haven't looked in there yet this year.

Shenanagins · 11/12/2017 20:39

I got a really nice one in uniqlo and I think they also do it in burgundy.

CharisMama · 11/12/2017 20:41

I love this one here

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 11/12/2017 20:55

Not a fan of that one, sorry.

Uniqlo ones are too long. Will look at Mango.

I'm looking for a nice knitted dress as well. I have one that I bought from White Stuff three Christmases ago and love it. It is so comfortable and flattering. It washes really well, and I wish I had bought another one in different colour.

A lot of the dresses linked on this thread are too short for me. I want a dress not a tunic. I am 5'7" and at 59 need knee length these days.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 11/12/2017 21:05

Think we're looking for very different things then, as these are nearly all far too long for what I want!

I wore this one today. Beautifully soft and comfortable.

Wore with Merino wool black tights and black ankle boots.

Comfy, practical, for lots of nice comments.

From Celtic and co

NinonDeLenclos · 11/12/2017 21:21

I've got the Celtic Fair Isle one too but I think it's sold out now so I didn't link it.

polyhymnia · 11/12/2017 22:12

Remus, when you say things are too long, I'm afraid I can't remember how tall you are, which is obviously a major factor!

CakeInMyFace · 12/12/2017 06:59

Esker what's the sizing like on that Oasis one? I often buy xs as I'm a 6 to 8 but tempted to buy the small. Its a lovely colour and shape!

polyhymnia · 12/12/2017 08:46

Sorry, Remus, saw you said above that you're 'very short', so what would be long on you wouldn't on me at 5'9''.
