How to put hair into hot rollers without screaming

Really want to do mine for works Christmas do next weekend - I really struggle with it. Any tips please? I'd really appreciate it xx

What are you finding painful about it? Too hot? Too tight?

I can't seem to place them right - it ends up a disaster

I mainly use them for waves, and volume. I do a line down the middle of my head, starting at my forehead and working back to the crown.

I then do a couple around the sides of my head and then go back to the back of my hair and go from the crown to the nape of my neck. Then I do the bits that are left.

Don't try to put too much hair into each roller, brush each strip upwards before rolling from the end to the root, and try to get the pin ready to grab before you begin with the roller.

That's what I usually do, unless I can talk my lovely mum into putting them in for me.
