Dublin vs Dubarry- which boots?

Hi I really would like some dubarry Galway boots - in place of wellies/winter outdoor boots. The price tag is putting me off slightly! I have seen that Dublin boots are half the price- but are they half as good? I just need some waterproof boots that will keep my feet warmer than wellies that I can wear on wintery days out that also look nice.

Can anyone advise? Thanks!

I don't know Dublin boots but will say the Dubarry Galways are on sale at the minute for £199. I've had mine a couple of years, spend 70% of my time at the stables or walking our dog/chasing children at school and they are just invincible. With a quick rub of Colonil cream mine still look beautiful.

Are they? I haven't seen that? Do you know what website you've seen it on? Thanks

Hopefully this works, I'm not great at links.

A friend of mine has some Dublin’s and is v sporty ( think CrossFit, hiking, horses) and she thinks they’re excellent, have lasted 2 years and going strong.

Oh thanks- looks like just the olive or tweed- I was hoping for the brown or tan. I don't know whether to go for a different colour!

Had my Dubarry’s (or doobrys as Dd calls them) for about five years, use them for dog walking all the time and they’re still perfect, warm, waterproof and the products you can buy to clean/protect them are excellent. Expensive yes but cost per wear looking pretty good so far!

Ah, you're right it's just the tweed ones on sale. Love the dark olive tweed though!

I have Dublin's. I originally bought Durbarrys but they rubbed and were uncomfortable so I returned them and swapped. They didn't fit nicely over my jeans either.

The Dublin's are really sturdy and they still look like new even though I've waded through rivers, through mud and stomped up & down coastal footpaths. They're also quite easy to walk on sand in (if that's relevant?)

I love my Dubarry boots so so much haha they were £200 in a local shop and worth every penny! They are so warm and waterproof and polish up beautifully with a clear wax polish

Dubarry, they are top quality all the others are pretenders. Wouldn't buy those tweed ones though, stick with the leather as they clean up brilliantly.
