Clip on earrings_any good?

Are clip on earrings comfortable?Do they look ok?
One of my ear piercings has healed up and I was going to try clip ons.
Is it easier to lose them?
I usually wear small studs.
What sort of earrings would you recommend?I don't want to look like Pat Butcher!

I accidentally picked up a pair in Accessorise for a wedding this summer.

They matched my dress so I wore them anyway. They were really uncomfortable. I had to take them off at about 6pm because my ears felt bruised.

I ordered some silver plated screw in earrings for jewellery making from Amazon.(£1.50) for 6 pairs.
They are so comfortable.
I an going to transfer my pierced crystal earrings drops over to these and look out for more screw in earrings online.
I remember my grandmother having this type many years ago and wearing them as a child when I was too young to be allowed to have my ears pierced.

I’m too chicken to get my ears pierced (also heard too many reports of people being allergic to anything bar gold, which kind of cuts down your options). So I have loads of clip earrings.

Are they comfortable? It varies.some are, others can be excruciatingly tight. As Liberty says, the screw in type tend to be more comfortable but they are easier to lose. Some clips can be comfortable. I have a ten year old heavy chandelier pair from Mikey and they feel great in.

Do they look OK? Yes, provided you steer away from the Krystle Carrington button earring look.

Is it easier to lose them? Unfortunately, yes. I check mine regularly. I have favourites that I’d be upset to lose, and I actually have lost some much loved and expensive screw-in earrings in the past.

I can really recommend Eternal Collection for nice clips, a long way from Pat Butcher!
