Steam pod - how do you get to the roots?

I’ve had a few people recommended the L’Oréal steam pod and I’ve watched a few reviews and it looks good but it looks like you can’t get rat the roots because they’re so big. Is this the case? I’ve got really curly hair so I need to be able to get right in at the root or I’d just look abit ridiculous 😂

Dd has them and has never had any issue getting to the roots. They are fab for curly hair and the results are spectacular! She goes from a woolly sheep to a catwalk model in 15 minutes.
